Hey guys! I hope you are all well and are staying safe during lock down.
Quarantine has got us bored and literally wanting to sleep all day. Why not spend that extra time instead of sleeping looking after your skin. I know it is getting quite hard to get hands on your favourite face masksonline, so why not try this easy DIY - Tumeric Brightening Face Mask.
The tumeric face mask has been around for years and has so many benefits for the skin. Everyone has their own way in making this and this is how I make mine.
What you will need:
1. 1/2 tbsp of gram glour (Basaan)
2. 1 tbsp Honey (Organic or any)
3. Half a lemon
4. Tumeric
5. Some milk
Method:
1. Add in your gram flour, tumeric and lemon juice in a bowl and mix together. When I was recording this video (below) I realised that I didn't have any lemons so I used lemon juice. It works as good. I added 2 tsps or squeeze in half a lemon.
2. Next add 1 tbsp of honey (I used this Pakistani organic honey I had at home. You can use any honey).
3. Add in some milk
4. Mix altogether until you get a paste like formula.
5. Apply onto a washed face and leave in for 20 to 30 minutes.
6. Wash face as normal and exfoliate the skin at the same time.
7. Finish off with your favourite moisturiser. You will definitely see a difference in your skin.
Benefits of the face mask:
1. Suitable for all skin types
2. The lemon and tumeric help brighten out the skins complexion. Clears up the skin.
3. The gram flour acts as an exfoliate when washing your face. It removes dead skin cells.
4. The honey acts like a moisturiser and helps sooth your skin. Softer skin.
5. The milk also has benefits to the skin and helps brighten the complexion .
6. Gives a great base for makeup application .
I have been using this mask for years and you really do notice a difference in your skin. I use it once a week. Definitely pamper your self with this whilst in quarantine.
Let me know if you do give it a try =)
