Reviewing the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Long wear Foundation

Okay so I know that I am probably the last person in the beauty industry to be reviewing the Fenty Beauty foundation, but its better late than never said someone once.

So when I was in Dubai a couple weeks back I headed of to Sephora to grab some things. I walked in with no intention of what to buy and one of the guys at the counter persuaded me in to buying the Fenty Beauty foundation. It took some time to match my correct shade as I was tanned but we did finally select shade 290 in the foundation.

- To begin with, the first thing I love about this foundation is its packaging. The foundation itself comes in a glass bottle with a white lid. Super chic and simple but literally looks amazing on your vanity table. The foundation bottle is slightly heavy too making it feel like a luxury item. 

- The application of the foundation is amazing. I usually tend to apply foundation with my fingers as the warmth blends it in much easier and then use a damp beauty blender to blend away an access foundation after.

- When applied to your face, this foundation literally blurs your skin. It has a smooth application and dries matte so you really don't have to use a setting powder to set it in. I use around 2 pumps to cover my face and then another half a pump for my neck. Easily blendable and I love the coverage it gives to your skin.

- To give this foundation a fair review, I also did 2 wear tests in Dubai in temperatures reaching above 45 degrees. I wanted to see if this foundation would actually last or would it budge. So I put this foundation on around 9am and did the rest of my makeup. I spent the whole day exploring Dubai in the heat and took my makeup of at around 11pm at night. During these 14 hours I did not do any touch ups which I was seriously amazed about concerning the heat was really intense. One problem I get with foundations is they sink into my smile lines. This foundation didn't which I was seriously amazed about.

- I did another wear test on my flight back to the UK. Again I did my face around 9am in the morning, shopped around a bit (with no touch ups), was outside the whole day and then boarded by flight the at 1am the next morning. I landed at Heathrow at around 7am London time. So I would say I wore this foundation for more than 20 hours and this foundation did not move. I am seriously not kidding here! Even on the plane I was thinking it may make my skin look dry or cakey but nothing at all. It literally stayed put.

- The best thing about this foundation is that it feels really light on the skin so even if you build it up, your skin will still look skin like and will not look cakey. It has an amazing texture to it. 

- Overall thoughts, I truly love this foundation as a whole, It feels amazing on the skin and looks great in photos.

Non cakey and literally the same price as high end foundations such as MAC making it affordable. My go to foundation for parties, weddings and super glam looks.
